A locally owned roofer from Lancaster
Greenawalt Roofing Company fixes, replaces and inspects roofs and hangs gutters for neighbors across Lancaster and the towns around it.
Roofing from right here on Marietta Avenue
We are a locally owned roofing contractor based in Lancaster. Our work is the roof over your head, the gutters along its edge, and a straight answer about what shape both are in.
Being local matters in this trade. When you call, you reach people who work in the same neighborhoods you drive through every day, and who know the houses here: brick colonials with attached garages, stone homes with dormers, ranch houses on corner lots, and the newer townhome rows on the edges of town.
We keep the list of services short on purpose. Roof repair, roof replacement, gutters and inspections. Doing a few things well lets us spend our time on the details customers actually notice.
The roof is only part of the work
Explain it first
A new roof is a real expense, and nobody should sign off on one without understanding it. We walk you through what we found, what we recommend and why, and we answer every question before price comes up. One customer told us that willingness to explain the whole process is why he chose us, even though our number was not the lowest he received.
Plan it around your home
Good roofing days are decided before the crew shows up. Materials and the dumpster are scheduled and placed so you can still use your driveway and get the car out of the garage. Shrubs and garden beds get covered. When everything arrives in the right order, the work on the roof goes quickly.
Leave it clean
The last hour of a job is cleanup, and we treat it like part of the job, not an afterthought. Debris is picked up, the yard is walked, and the dumpster is collected promptly after.

From corner ranches to commercial fronts
Most of our days are spent on houses: family homes with attached garages, older ranch homes on tree lined streets, and larger stone homes with complicated roof lines and dormers that take patience to get right.
We also work on commercial buildings, like the standing seam metal accent over this office entrance. Different roof, same habits: look carefully, explain clearly, and leave the site tidy.

"Greenawalt was recommended to us through a family member. I’m so happy we hired them to do our roof and gutters. The communication was great. Everyone we came in contact with was so nice. The crew that came to do the work did a great job and they cleaned up after themselves very well. This is the best experience we have had hiring someone to work on our home."
"Very knowledgeable staff! Answered any and all questions. The job was complete one week after I got a quote! A new roof isn’t cheap! Greenawalt came in higher than the other company I quoted with, but I went with them due to their customer service and willingness to walk me through the entire process!"
"Everyone I worked with at Greenawalt was knowledgeable and courteous. Kudos to Jeff and Olivia for all the planning and communication to make this happen quickly and without any issues. Greenawalt did a great job and I’d hire them again without hesitation."
